A book launch and live “Read-In” of cartoonist-author Barbara Slate’s completed graphic novel of the Mueller Report will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, at Time & Space Limited, 434 Columbia St., Hudson.
The free public event will include volunteer readers – attendees can read a page each -- and big-screen projections of pages from the book, which Slate has been uploading in daily installments on her Facebook and Twitter accounts.
Part one of “The Mueller Report Graphic Novel” was published in July. Based in Stockport, Columbia County, Slate is a prolific graphic artist whose career spans books, comics for Marvel and DC as well as a 1970s feminist comic strip and series, “Ms. Liz,” that ran on NBC’s “Today” and in Cosmopolitan magazine.
As she told the Times Union in July, she decided to adapt the Mueller Report after it dropped in April. "We've been waiting for like two years, and it finally came out, and I looked at it and went, 'Oh my God!' It was daunting,” she was so — it was actually terrifying."
