TUSCALOOSA, ALABAMA - NOVEMBER 09: Landon Dickerson #69 of the Alabama Crimson Tide prepares to snap the ball against the LSU Tigers in the game at Bryant-Denny Stadium on November 09, 2019 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. (Photo by Kevin C. Cox/Getty Images)The LSU Tigers now own the biggest win of the college football season. Sure taking down Auburn and Texas is nice, but when you go into Alabama and take down the undefeated Crimson Tide, that’s a whole other level.
That’s exactly what Joe Burrow and company did. The Tigers came out of the gate swinging, taking a 33-13 lead into the half.
Burrow completed 18-of-20 passes for 252 yards and three touchdowns – in the first half. That’s a great stat line for any quarterback against Alabama, but Burrow accomplished that in the first 30 minutes of play.
Burrow finished the game 31-of-39 passing for 393 yards and three touchdowns. He also added 64 yards on the ground to complete his Heisman moment.
However, despite his performance and LSU’s 46-41 win, immediately after the game, CBS started making a case for Alabama to make the College Football Playoff.
That’s right, instead of showing LSU players and coaches celebrating the win, CBS put up a graphic showing the possible ways the Crimson Tide could slip into the playoff.
Check it out.
LSU won the game with a first down and this was CBS's immediate on-screen response, I believe every conspiracy theory y'all have ever said pic.twitter.com/wfOgzabOpU

Yikes.
With the win, LSU takes a stranglehold on the SEC West and will likely represent the division in the conference title game.
Meanwhile, Alabama is likely eliminated from playoff contention – maybe.
