Latin Kings threaten rivals by name, describe graphic violence in rap videos, feds say - Boston Herald

Accused Latin Kings members, posting rap videos on YouTube accounts under their “King” monikers, are seen flashing gang signs, brandishing weapons and shouting “Kings” while making threats to rivals, feds allege. The professionally produced videos remain live on YouTube, where commenters post messages of support for the gang.

“Drill Season” by Juan Figueroa, a.k.a. “King Pun,” charged with conspiracy to murder: Three days after a New Bedford teenager was gunned down outside of the gang’s safe house in October, Figueroa posted “Drill Season,” in which a group of men shout, “Whose house? King’s House!” before Figueroa raps profanity and racial slur-laced threats to rival gangs, including the Gangster Disciples, feds say in affidavits filed in court.

“But let me catch any one of them and they gon’ meet that clip,” Figueroa raps repeatedly as other alleged gang members make shooting motions.

The “Almighty King Pun” YouTube channel features 14 total music videos with a combined 450,000 views.

“War Time,” by Orlando Santiago-Torres, charged with armed assault with intent to murder: Santiago-Torres refers to the September shooting of an alleged Gangster Disciple, saying, “Watch how he do the dance,” in apparent reference to the victim’s body being hit by a gunshot. He continues, “get hit like (name of victim), end up in CC,” referring to the hospital where the victim was treated, an affidavit states.

On the same video, rapper Emanuel Lopez-Velez, charged with armed assault with intent to murder, refers to two victims shot last year and raps “we spitting for more,” before alluding to witness intimidation, the affidavit states.

“Chronicles,” by Angel Rodriguez, allegedly of the Devon Street Kings in Boston, charged with conspiracy to murder: Rodriguez, whose YouTube channel has over 1,000 subscribers and over 219,000 combined views, raps of threats toward the Dominicans Don’t Play gang in several songs, feds say. In “Chronicles,” Rodriguez raps, “I be down to ride, I’m talking homicide, I put like 30 in a clip and let them bullets fly.” Later, he describes shooting victims, describing “hot shots that hit you and turn your brains into a noodle dish.”
